RISD Librarian in CRL News
Posted: October 22, 2006 Filed under: Art Librarianship, Opportunities: Scholarships, Professional Associations Comments OffCheck out the “Job of a Lifetime” feature on Claudia Covert in the October 2006 issue of College and Research Library News. The article profiles Claudia’s job as the head of Reader Services at RISD Library,

“Covert encourages librarians to consider art librarianship. She loves working with visual communities, the meshing of images with text, and the interesting range of people she meets in art librarianhsip.
‘ACRL has the art libraries section and there’s the Art Libraries Society of North America. [There are] some great organizations out there. I would encourage anybody with an interest in art to go this way.’”
Has anyone else had experiences with the ACRL Arts Section? It looks like they are looking for volunteers . . . fill out this form by December 2nd to be considered for committee nomination!!
