The Bard Graduate Center is seeking a visual resources professional to catalog images and assist the curator in the day-to-day operations of the Visual Media Resources department.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
§ Image Cataloging and Database Maintenance
§ Help Desk and Reference
§ General Duties
Qualifications
§ MLS and/or 2-4 years visual resources and cataloging experience.
§ Excellent knowledge of Art History, Decorative Arts History or Architectural History. M.A. in art history or related field preferred.
§ Experience using FileMaker Pro, preferably IRIS, and digital asset management systems.
§ Experience working with the standardized cataloguing procedures set forth by CCO and the VRA Core, as well as the Getty and Library of Congress Authorities.
§ Working knowledge of French, German, or Italian desirable.
§ Familiar with scanning and image correction in Photoshop.
