The Digital Collections Librarian is responsible for building and maintaining the Library’s collection of Digital Special Collections materials, including both analog-to-digital and born-digital materials from Special Collections (includes the Quaker Collection, Rare Books and Manuscripts, College Archives, and Fine Arts Collection). The librarian coordinates schedules with other Special Collections staff to provide reference and other services to faculty, staff, students, and off-campus researchers; participates in the Library’s instruction program; supervises student assistants; performs liaison functions with other Library staff and collections; and may have analog and digital collection development responsibilities in the general collections. As a member of the Special Collections staff of a small liberal arts college library, the Digital Collections Librarian develops and maintains ties with colleagues in College Information Resources (CIR) and at Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore Colleges.
