Conde Nast Publications is seeking an experienced
digital librarian to assist in the development,
implementation and subsequent administration and
support of a digital asset management system.
Coordinate workflow and processing of xml tagged
material into a digital repository including quality
review and authority control. Create additional
abstracting and key wording for search. Define
taxonomy, metadata and keyword strategies. Coordinate
with Editorial Rights department on copyright,
licensing, and rights management issues related to
digital management. Liaison with suppliers,
aggregators and third party licensees. Our ideal
candidate will have experience with xml text encoding,
metadata standards, digital asset management tools and
Web services, in addition to experience defining and
establishing best practices for digitization, metadata
and archival storage. Must have knowledge of taxonomy
development and management, and experience developing
and maintaining keyword libraries and hierarchical
classification systems.
