Interns are assigned to a department based on their academic background, professional skills, interests, and career goals. Interns participate in the ongoing work of the department and complete specific projects or portions of larger departmental initiatives.

Every other week the museum offers a Museum Culture Seminar Program which includes: 1) field trips to sites such as auction houses, galleries, corporate collections, artists’ studios, and other museums; 2) discussions with museum staff from a range of museum departments; and 3) discussions of museum-related issues and publications. Attendance at all programming is required.
