I signed up for a two-day training with this group. My entire class, me included, chose not to attend the second day because it was of such low quality. They were using materials from the early 90s, and my facilitator had no real knowlege of grant writing or grant management. I attempted to get a refund, as did several others in my class, and they refused to give me a refund. DO NOT sign up for classes through The Grant Institute.

they took me, for several thousand dollars, and I have recieved numerous reports from both teachers and students of their programs, who were also scammed. One class they netted about $30,000, and another $50,000, beware, the grant writing institutes, professional grant writing 101, beware, go to epinions and the attorney general of the state of california.

DO NOT send any money to this organization. i cringe to even call them that. this is a SCAM! Many of us who attended in the Northeast & otherwise are attempting to get our refunds…to no avail i fear. they do not have any real instructors and no one may eben show up. check out the better business bureau website. there are 45 complaints against them & more to come I am sure!

A 3 day grants writing course is planned for Sydney, Australia in June. Can anyone give me advice with regard to spending $1000 plus? Is it value for money?
