Duties: Performs unsupervised standards compliant item level cataloging of art images. Assists in management and oversight of operations including workflow associated with high-volume digitization project. Trains and supervises graduate research assistants and other student employees in image cataloging and metadata creation.
Required: 2 years experience in a VR facility; MA in art history or MLS or equivalent, with coursework in art history, by time of appointment; experience necessary to perform and direct research in art history and to produce accurate authority records as evidenced by work history and education.
Preferred: experience using VCat, Insight Studio, and Inscribe; foreign language skills; one year supervisory experience; effective oral and written communication skills, as demonstrated by cover letter, application materials, and work history.
