Housed in the Funk Family College of ACES Library, the PLAD Subject Librarian will provide reference and information services at the ACES Library service desk (and in other venues), design and deliver information literacy instruction and/or information technology training in the use of relevant resources, collections, or tools, oversee the materials budget and manage the print and digital collections that support teaching and research in the fields of Urban & Regional Planning and Landscape Architecture (including one of the country’s premier collections in Landscape History), and design, deliver, and assess the effectiveness of public service programs aimed at students, staff, and faculty in liaison departments. The PLAD Subject Librarian will contribute to Library-wide service initiatives, including those in the areas of scholarly communications, digital content creation, and assessment of services and collections, and will collaborate with campus colleagues to provide services to users in need of cartographic and geospatial resources, digital images, and other visual resources.
