* Provide general reference and specialized research consultations in person and virtually as scheduled for several main campus service points as well as by appointment with students and faculty. Some evening and weekend hours are required.

* Develop print and web based instructional materials and counsel faculty in developing effective information literacy assignments and activities.

* Provide library instruction to art, art history, and art education students and faculty as well as to undergraduates in the general education curriculum. Support the use of visual resources such as ARTstor.

* Engage with faculty in Temple’s Tyler School of Art and the wider campus community through outreach and promotional activities, including committee participation and attendance at collegial meetings and events.

* Develop and manage electronic and print collections in art, art history, and related subject areas, under the coordination of the Chief Collection Development Officer.

The librarian will also participate in library-wide projects and activities and is expected to be active professionally.

Required:

* ALA accredited MLS.
* Demonstrated ability to provide art reference, consultation, liaison and instructional services in an academic setting
* Demonstrated ability to develop and manage art-related collections in all formats
* Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
* Demonstrated ability to adopt emerging technologies to enhance user services

Preferred:
* Educational background in art or art history
* Experience with ARTstor, MDID or other visual resource databases or systems
* Familiarity with information literacy programming in an academic setting
