METADATA LIBRARIAN Emory University Libraries OPEN AS OF 2/4/09 The Emory University Libraries invites applications for a new Metadata Librarian position to serve on a newly created Metadata Services Team. Metadata Services forms part of Technical Services within the Content Division, which also includes Preservation, Digitization Services, and Storage. The Content Division, and specifically Metadata Services, complements key initiatives for developing digital content in special collections, Digital Programs/Institute for Digital Scholarship, and Repository Services. The libraries are currently in the developmental stages of building a repository infrastructure to manage digital content and metadata, and are continually developing services and technologies that share and allow use of digital content through a system such as ExLibris’ Primo. Qualifications: Salary and Benefits: Salary and librarian rank based on qualifications and experience; beginning salary is $41,500. Comprehensive benefits package, including tuition benefits.
