full-time, twelve month, tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor in a collective bargaining unit.

SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary minimum $49,500. Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision benefits, 24 days vacation and participation in the Illinois State Universities Retirement System.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
=Provide reference services and library instruction in a team environment and assist in the adoption of new related technologies
=Serve as liaison to faculty in assigned academic departments in supporting/expanding use of library resources to support student learning.
=Develop library collections and serve as subject specialist for assigned disciplines in the humanities, including but not limited to English, Communication, Media and Theater, and Philosophy.
=Participation in professional organizations, service in library and university governance, and appropriate research/creative activities are expected.

QUALIFICATIONS:
=ALA accredited MLS degree and a second master’s degree in relevant subject area are required.
=Relevant professional experience
=Strong public service commitment
=Demonstrated interpersonal/teamwork skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative
=Culturally diverse environment are required
=Demonstrated working knowledge of web communication technologies is strongly preferred
=Academic library work experience preferred.
