Job Title: Reference Librarian

Description:
The Art Institute of Washington Library is seeking a Reference Librarian to provide reference, research, and information literacy instruction to the campus community. Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Reference and information literacy instruction
Planning and assessment
Web site maintenance
Personnel supervision
Other duties as assigned
Desired skills include:
Knowledge of current theory, practices, and issues pertaining to information literacy
Ability to plan projects, report outcomes, and manage a variety of responsibilities
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff
Familiarity with art, business, design, education, hospitality, or other subjects taught at the school
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to develop and maintain print and online resources
Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and flexibility
This position requires a Master’s degree in Library/Information Science from an ALA-accredited school.
