Conference Links had been removed along with the Search bar title, and all RSS feeds. I restored the Search title bar, added the ArLiSNAP Merchandise/Cafepress button, changed the delicious widget to an RSS widget with one link (now the rss feed has a button and link), and added the Blog stats widget on the left side. I don’t know why the mapkit widget now has a lot of extra space beneath it. I don’t think there’s anything I can change in the CSS to fix it.
Megan, I’ve been viewing ArLiSNAP on my mac all day, and the widget has now adjusted to a “no extra space below” layout. Only difference is that now there are not virtual “pins” on it anymore . . . huh???
There was a system-wide widget crash, apparently. I sent feedback about the mapkit problem. Hopefully there will be a solution without reloading all of our sites. I’m guessing not though
I removed the Platial MapKit widget – it was slowing down the blog an inordinate amount. Since there weren’t any “pins” on it I thought it would be safe to do. They must be having issues, so maybe we can reinstate it later on this week or next.
ArLiSNAP's mission is to provide an open forum for sharing ideas, scholarships, and opportunities pertinent to art librarianship. By doing so, participants will capitalize on the shared experiences and knowledge of the art library community. Furthermore, this group will provide a safe haven for art library students and new professionals by fostering exploration in a supportive atmosphere. Megan, I think this page will be really useful – thanks for setting it up!
Yeah, I checked the CSS too to fix platial. The only thing CSS will control is the heading.
It’s gotta’ be something with the javascript that is pumped in from the outside.
At home (same OS, same browser), the map isn’t creating a big space below it. Did someone fix it? Looks much better!

Dido. Even clicking on “See Big Map” no longer shows the pins. Hmmm…

Good to know . . . thanks for keeping us updated! I can put some “pins” back on the map.
